What are you going to do?

AvaTo Solutions is expanding its Innovation & Tax Advisory team and is looking for a motivated Tax Consultant with a strong analytical mindset and a keen interest in R&D and sustainability-driven incentives. In this role, you will support clients in identifying, developing, and securing tax-based innovation funding, such as R&D tax reliefs, investment deductions, and energy-related incentives across Europe.

You will collaborate closely with innovation consultants, technical experts, and financial professionals to ensure accurate, compliant, and value-driven results for our clients.

Advise clients on the eligibility and optimization of R&D tax reliefs and innovation-related tax incentives.
Prepare and review technical and financial documentation for tax credit claims and funding applications.
Collaborate with engineers, researchers, and project managers to translate innovation activities into tax-compliant narratives.
Stay up to date with national and EU tax legislation, particularly related to innovation, energy transition, and sustainability.
Support internal teams in developing best practices for tax advisory and compliance processes.
Contribute to cross-border projects involving state aid, EU funding, and green investment mechanisms.

About you

Degree in Tax Law, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
2–4 years of experience in corporate tax consulting, R&D tax incentives, or innovation funding.
Familiarity with national R&D tax credit systems (e.g. UK RDEC, Dutch WBSO, or similar European frameworks).
Excellent analytical and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex tax and technical concepts clearly.
Strong attention to detail and a structured, proactive approach to work.
Team-oriented mindset and ability to collaborate across disciplines and geographies.
Proficiency in English; additional European languages (e.g. German, Dutch, or French) are an advantage.
